32 Alpine pasture huts and snack stations plus 12 refuge huts provide fresh energy along the extensive hiking trail network of Sölden. On the sunny terraces with overwhelming views, traditional dishes like bacon dumplings, cheese spaetzle and Kaiserschmarrn are served after having conquered loads of altitude meters. Some Alpine inns, snack stations and mountain restaurants are easily accessible on cart trails or by mountain lifts, and make a great outing destination even in unstable weather. At the very top - from every point of view - there is the glass-covered ice Q gourmet temple, spoiling guests with toque-awarded gourmet creations at the peak of Gaislachkogl.

When do Sölden’s mountain huts open in summer?

In general, the mountain huts and alpine pasture inns within the marked ski area open as soon as the summer mountain lift operation starts. Usually, it is between early and mid-June. The high alpine (shelter) huts located outside the marked ski area have individual opening times, but usually start their summer season at the end of June. Basically, all 43 alpine pasture inns and mountain huts in Sölden are open during the summer months. Siegerlandhütte

The Siegerland HütteThe hut is high above the Windachtal in the Stubaier Alps on 2.710 metres and not far from the border to South Tyrol. It also has his own climbing garden. The hut was built in 1928/29 and opened in 1930. The owner is the DAV, section Siegerland.Every year the section renovates and renews the hut, which is very neat. The Siegerland Refuge is of course not the oldest hut and not the most comfortable one, but we are sure, it is one of the most beautiful huts in the Stubaier Alps. The hut extinguish with it’s simplicity- but please believe- the "Kaiserschmarrn" never tasted better than up in the mountains.The hut has 23 beds and 26 dorm mattresses.
