Great music, endless fun on the slopes and superb parties. This splendid mix once again attracted international top DJs such as Don Diablo, Oliver Heldens and thousands of fans to the Funzone at Giggijoch. Plus a very positive side effect for the renowned tourism destination: the artists stage themselves for the crowd of followers world-wide amidst Ötztal's unique mountain scenery by generating also great attention in the social networks.
How extraordinary the ELECTRIC MOUNTAIN FESTIVAL location is - at 2300 m above sea level in Sölden - was proven by varied statements of the widely traveled artists. Dutch DJ and producer Don Diablo experienced his first "Show on Snow". The trendy turntable artist was truly thrilled by the very special atmosphere. Jonas Blue described the stunning location with a good dose of British humor: "I feel like I'm part of a screen background." And Ummet Oczan, well known for his big room house tunes, declared himself a "Mountain Man". The music lovers were equally enthusiastic about the international DJ stars at the seventh festival edition. On the two festival days a total of 25,000 fans of electronic dance music flocked to the Funzone at Giggijoch.
DJ as ski area tester
Oliver Heldens, second headliner of the 2018 ELECTRIC MOUNTAIN FESTIVAL, took advantage of the festival location as well and enjoyed a couple of days with his family and friends in Sölden. The Dutch music star explored the slopes of Sölden together with his mum and his brother, and he was enchanted by the excellently groomed ski slopes and the heartfelt hospitality. He also took a legendary selfie together with DJ Bakermat on the panoramic footpath of Tiefenbach Glacier at above 3000 m altitude.
In secret mission
Bakermat and his Dutch colleague Lady Bee didn't miss out on an exclusive preview of the 007 ELEMENTS exhibition inside the peak of Gaislachkogl. After their visit, they both agreed unanimously that this outstanding Cinematic Installation, officially opened on 12 July 2018, is an absolute must-see.
Important Promotors
In addition to the brilliant party hours presented by the DJs, they also bring great attention to Sölden through their social media channels. For example, the two posts of Oliver Heldens received almost 50,000 likes and several hundred comments. The same is true of Don Diablo's pictures, displaying the entire scenery including the audience and the mountains. "In this way we can reach the fans of the artists directly, promoting also the Electric Mountain Festival brand together with Sölden as a holiday destination," states Oliver Schwarz, Director of Ötztal Tourismus.
