DOG-FRIENDLY ACCOMMODATIONS

Dogs are very welcome in around 180 accommodations in Sölden and the nearby hamlets of Hochsölden and Zwieselstein. Many of these comfortable accommodations - from hotels to apartments and inns - are located directly on the ski slope or in the immediate vicinity of the two feeder mountain gondolas of Gaislachkogl or Giggijoch. Short distances are therefore guaranteed, the car can safely remain in the garage.

WITH YOUR DOG ON THE MOUNTAIN GONDOLA

Even though the ski slopes are reserved exclusively for two-legged friends on two skis (dogs are strictly forbidden on the slopes due to the risk of injury), four-legged buddies are of course allowed to travel up the mountain on the feeder gondola lifts of Gaislachkogl, Giggijoch and Hochsölden-Rotkogl. Once there, you can choose from worthwhile winter hiking trails, for example from Gaislachkogl’s middle station to Heidealm or along the panorama trail in Hochsölden. Even excursion destinations such as Gaislachkogl summit at over 3000 meters are accessible to pedestrians with dogs and can be reached via Gaislachkogl mountain gondola II.

WINTER & SNOWSHOE HIKES WITH DOG

Just as well - not to say better - you can start the winter hike with your best friend from the valley floor. In Sölden and the immediate vicinity there are almost 50 kilometers of cleared and signposted winter hiking routes that lead you and your four-legged friend through snow-covered forests, winter white meadows and along rushing brooks up into the mountains. Teams of master or mistress and dog can also embark on a snowshoe adventure by trudging through the deep snow - many a four-legged friend will jump for joy.
