ice Q gourmet restaurant at 3,048 m high Gaislachkogl summit is Austria's highest restaurant awarded 2 toques. And probably also the most spectacular. So spectacular that the glass-coated cube served as a filming location for the James Bond movie “Spectre”. In real life, up here you can enjoy haute cuisine, fine wines and tapas as well as fabulous views of Ötztal’s mountain world.

Ice q as a filming location

In addition to lovers of fine cuisine, Bond fans will also be amazed at ice Q. Anyone who watches the blockbuster “Spectre” closely will immediately recognize the scenery: the futuristic Hoffler Clinic was set up here in the gourmet restaurant, where Daniel Craig alias James Bond met Dr. Madeleine Swann for the first time and a spectacular chase begins.

Both actors and film crew were of course also catered for by ice Q during filming at Gaislachkogl. Special tip: at the neighboring 007 ELEMENTS Bond Adventure World, film aficionados can delve deeper into the world of the secret agent. Gaislachkogl mission accomplished!
